Willerby and Kirk Ella

The Willerby and Kirk Ella ward sits on the western edge of the East Riding of Yorkshire, bordering the city of Hull. The area is primarily residential, characterised by established housing estates, local shopping parades, and several large schools. Open green spaces like the playing fields at Wolfreton School and the grounds of Kirk Ella church provide recreational areas. The ward is well-connected by the A164 and A63 roads, which serve as major transport routes for commuters.

Much of the landscape is defined by the Humber Estuary's flat topography, with residential streets extending towards the Holderness Drain. A notable local feature is the historic packhorse bridge in Kirk Ella, which crosses the old village beck. The ward functions largely as a suburban community, with its economy and daily life closely linked to the facilities and employment opportunities of the neighbouring city.
