Winthorpe, Coddington & Collingham

The parishes of Winthorpe, Coddington and Collingham lie east and northeast of Newark-on-Trent within Newark and Sherwood. The three villages combine residential streets, working farms and small clusters of shops, with village halls, parish churches and primary schools forming community hubs. Winthorpe includes the former wartime airfield, now home to the Newark Air Museum, which preserves aircraft and displays linked to the airfield's history. Local businesses and services sit alongside arable fields and river corridor enterprises.

Collingham occupies the north bank of the River Trent, where riverside paths and flood meadows form part of the landscape and attract walkers and anglers. Coddington and Winthorpe sit on the land behind the Trent floodplain, with lanes, hedgerows and farm tracks connecting farmsteads and cottages. Bus routes and road links provide access to Newark and the A1 for commuting and shopping, while village events, sports clubs and volunteer groups shape everyday life across the three parishes.
