Yate North

Yate North is a residential area situated within the larger town of Yate, in South Gloucestershire. The layout is primarily characterised by post-war and more recent suburban housing developments, with a mix of property types. It functions as a commuter base, with good road links via the A432 and proximity to Yate railway station providing access to Bristol and Gloucester. Local shopping needs are served by the nearby Yate Shopping Centre, one of the largest outdoor retail complexes in the region.

The area is bordered by open countryside to the north and east, with the River Frome meandering along its eastern edge. Recreation is provided by several green spaces, including the Kingfisher Trail which follows the river. The community is served by multiple primary schools and a secondary school. A notable local feature is the old railway line, now a popular walking and cycling path that connects to the former Yate railway station building, a preserved stone structure that hints at the area's historical roots.
