Ashton North

Ashton North sits on the northern side of Ashton-under-Lyne in the borough of Tameside. The area is mainly residential, made up of terraces, semi-detached homes and a mix of post-war housing. Small parades of shops and takeaways serve day-to-day needs, while primary schools, a health centre and a community centre provide public services. On the northern fringe a former cotton mill has been repurposed as workshops and small businesses, and a corridor of playing fields and recreational pitches offers space for local football and youth clubs.
