Berrylands South

Berrylands South is a residential part of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames centred on Berrylands railway station. The street pattern and housing stock reflect large-scale building in the interwar decades, with mainly semi-detached houses, front gardens and short terraces. Local facilities — small shops, primary schools and community halls — are within easy walking distance of the station, and playing fields and allotments lie a short walk away, used by families and local clubs.

The Hogsmill, a chalk stream, runs through the southern edge of the area and forms a narrow green corridor that includes the Berrylands Local Nature Reserve and riverside footpaths. The reserve follows the river and provides a trimmed mix of wetland, scrub and grassy banks that local people use for short walks and wildlife watching. Berrylands station gives residents regular rail access into central London, while nearby larger stations offer faster services for longer journeys. The area is primarily shaped by its mix of suburban housing, river edges and patchwork of small green spaces.
