Bollington

Bollington sits in Cheshire East at the foot of Kerridge Hill, with White Nancy marking the skyline. The River Dean runs through the town and former cotton-spinning mills line its banks; Clarence Mill is a stone building close to the centre. The Macclesfield Canal passes nearby and bridges and locks remain in place. The town developed around textiles and quarrying, and that industrial layout still shapes streets and paths.
