Brunswick Town is a distinct coastal neighbourhood within Hove, characterised by its early 19th-century Regency architecture. The area is defined by its elegant, uniform terraces and crescents, many featuring the iconic wrought-iron balconies and bow windows typical of the period. Its layout is orderly, with streets arranged around private garden squares, creating a quiet residential atmosphere close to the seafront.

The area runs directly into a long shingle beach and is anchored by the Brunswick Square gardens, a central green space enclosed by the terraces. A specific local feature is the raised pavement along Adelaide Crescent, designed for residents to observe carriage processions without stepping into the road. The seafront is lined with a traditional promenade, separating the homes from the coast.
