Eaglescliffe East

Eaglescliffe East is a residential ward situated on the southern bank of the River Tees. The area is characterised by a mix of housing, from interwar semis to more recent developments, alongside local shopping parades providing everyday services. Its eastern boundary is largely defined by the A135 Yarm Road, a major route into Stockton town centre.

The ward includes the Preston Park Museum and Grounds, a Victorian mansion set within extensive parkland. This green space, which also contains a replica Victorian street, serves as a significant local recreational area. The residential streets are generally quiet, with good pedestrian access to these amenities and the nearby railway station providing links to Darlington and Middlesbrough.
