Heeley & Newfield Green

Heeley and Newfield Green lie to the south of Sheffield city centre along the A61 corridor where London Road becomes Chesterfield Road. The area is made up largely of Victorian terraces and later 20th‑century housing, with shops, cafes and services clustered along the main road. A short course of the River Sheaf runs nearby, and rail lines and road junctions shape the street pattern. Local buses run frequently along the A61, giving straightforward access to other parts of the city without moving into neighbouring suburbs for day‑to‑day needs.

Heeley City Farm occupies a city site used for small‑scale livestock, allotments and hands‑on education, and Newfield Green provides a pocket of grass and trees where neighbours meet and local groups stage events.
