Howdon

Howdon sits on the north bank of the River Tyne in North Tyneside, immediately east of Wallsend and west of North Shields. The area forms its own council ward and is served by Howdon station on the Tyne and Wear Metro, which gives a direct link to the wider network. Streets are oriented around Howdon Road, where a small parade of shops and local services provides daily needs.
