Leven & Tickton

Leven and Tickton are neighbouring villages and a single civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, set on the low-lying Holderness plain. Tickton sits beside the River Hull while Leven lies a little to the east across farmland and drainage dykes. The parish contains areas of carr woodland and meadow that follow old drainage channels, a pattern that reflects centuries of reclaimed agricultural land rather than steep hills or cliffs.
