North Carr

North Carr ward lies along the western bank of the River Hull, directly opposite Hull's Old Town. The area is primarily residential, characterised by Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing. Its western boundary is formed by the significant transportation corridor of Beverley Road. The ward includes the historic Pearson Park, a formal Victorian park with a lake and conservatory. Industrial and commercial uses are concentrated along the riverfront, where old warehouses and newer developments sit.

The ward's identity is strongly shaped by its waterways. It encompasses the mouth of the River Hull where it meets the Humber Estuary, with the tidal barrier a notable feature on the river. The Deep, a prominent aquarium and submarium, is a major landmark on the estuary front. Streets are arranged in a grid pattern leading down to the river, with local amenities and shops clustered around the main road junctions. The area functions as a residential neighbourhood with direct connections to the city centre.
