Pendleton

Pendleton is a residential district located to the east of Salford city centre, primarily characterised by its post-war housing developments. The area is dominated by the high-rise Pendleton Towers, which are a defining feature of the local skyline. Housing consists largely of terraced homes, maisonettes, and several low-rise apartment blocks, with a significant amount of social housing managed by local associations. Its main thoroughfare is the A6, a busy arterial route connecting the area to Manchester and beyond.

The district is served by the Salford Crescent railway station, providing key transport links. A notable local landmark is the former Salford Shopping Centre, a large 1970s precinct that has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years. Green space is provided by the nearby Peel Park, one of the country's oldest public parks. The area's community facilities include local schools and a library, with the University of Salford campus situated just to the north.
