Risby

Risby ward is a rural area located to the northwest of Bury St Edmunds. It encompasses the village of Risby itself, along with the smaller settlements of Westley and Higham. The landscape is characterised by agricultural land, with fields and pockets of woodland defining much of the scenery. The local economy has traditional ties to farming, and the area maintains a quiet, settled atmosphere away from the main urban centre.

A notable network of public footpaths and bridleways crosses the ward, including a section of the long-distance 'King's Forest Trail'.
