Round Hill

Round Hill is a residential neighbourhood situated on a gentle incline just north of the city centre. The area is characterised by its dense network of Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses, many of which feature colourful painted brickwork. Its streets are primarily lined with homes, with local commerce concentrated along the Ditchling Road spine, which serves as the main thoroughfare for shops and services.

The ward includes the open, grassy expanse of The Level park at its southern boundary. A notable local feature is the presence of the Booth Museum of Natural History, a Victorian-era institution housing extensive collections of British birds, butterflies, and fossils. The area maintains a quiet, community-focused atmosphere distinct from the busier central and seafront districts.
