Twydall

Twydall is a residential ward located in the northeast of Medway, bordered by the A2 to the north and the railway line to the south. The area is characterised by post-war housing estates, with a mix of semi-detached homes and terraced streets. Local amenities are concentrated along Twydall Lane, which serves as the central hub for shops and services.

The ward contains several areas of green space, including Twydall Green and the playing fields adjacent to the local primary school. A notable feature is the presence of the Twydall megalith, a large sarsen stone situated on a green, which is a scheduled monument. The area provides straightforward road connections to Gillingham and the wider Medway towns.
