About

The University of Bristol's central campus sits between Park Row, Queens Road and Tyndall Avenue, where lecture halls, laboratories and administrative buildings cluster around the Wills Memorial Building. The Wills tower rises above the campus and is used as a city landmark. Royal Fort Gardens patch the campus with lawns and formal beds, and the university's departments use those spaces for outdoor teaching and gatherings. At the foot of Park Street the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery fronts the campus, linking collections and displays to student activity and public events.
Brandon Hill lies immediately west of Park Street and slopes up to Cabot Tower, erected in 1897 to mark John Cabot's voyage. Paths wind through mixed trees and a small nature reserve on the hill, and benches and stone steps are commonly used for study and conversation. Park Street runs along the hill's eastern edge with cafes and shops serving students and residents. The hill and campus together form a compact district where academic life, public museums and a city green meet.
