Aberdyfi

Aberdyfi ward encompasses the village of Aberdyfi and its surrounding rural landscape on the northern shore of the Dyfi estuary. The area is defined by its position where the River Dyfi meets the sea, with views across the water to the dunes of Ynyslas. The ward includes stretches of the Cambrian Mountains to the north, featuring upland sheep farming country. Its coastline forms part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, a significant protected environment for wildlife.

The village itself is a sailing and watersports centre, with a historic harbour and a long seafront. The ward contains a section of the Wales Coast Path, providing walking access to the estuary's expansive views. Inland, the landscape is characterised by small river valleys and wooded hillsides. The area's railway station sits on the scenic Cambrian Line, connecting it directly to Machynlleth and the wider Welsh rail network.
