About

Borth is a coastal village with a long shingle beach backed by a pebble ridge. The shoreline stretches alongside Cardigan Bay, with views extending to the hills of Snowdonia on clear days. A unique raised peat bog, Cors Fochno, lies directly inland, recognised as a significant lowland raised mire. The village itself is linear in layout, running parallel to the coast.

Inland, the settlement of Bont-goch sits within the valley of the River Leri. The area is characterised by its riverine landscape and the surrounding pastoral farmland of the Felinfach plateau. The former railway line, now a walking and cycling path, follows the river valley, connecting the inland communities to the coast.
