Downhills Park

Downhills Park area sits in the London Borough of Haringey, centred on a public green that takes its name from the former Downhills estate. The park is bordered by Downhills Park Road, which marks a long straight edge between open grass and residential streets. Housing around the park mixes late 19th- and early 20th-century terraces with later council developments; small parades of shops, primary schools and community centres are found on the streets that radiate from the park. Local buses run along the main roads and link the neighbourhood to other parts of Haringey.

The park itself still reflects the estate layout, with tree-lined paths and broad lawns used for informal sport and play.
