Epworth & Bracon

Epworth lies on the Isle of Axholme, a distinct historical region characterised by its flat, low-lying landscape of reclaimed fenland. The town centre is arranged along a main street, with Georgian and Victorian buildings housing local shops and services. The surrounding countryside is primarily agricultural, with large, open fields defined by drainage channels.

Bracon is a smaller, adjoining settlement to the north-east, consisting mainly of residential streets and a farmstead. The area is noted for its connection to the early Methodist movement; the Old Rectory, birthplace of John and Charles Wesley, is a central landmark.
