Hendre ward encompasses a largely residential area on the outskirts of Bangor, situated between the city centre and the Menai Strait. The ward's landscape is defined by its elevated position, offering views over the city and towards the water, and includes the steep, wooded slopes of Coedydd Aber at its northern edge.
