About

Holland Park is a neighbourhood and public park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, west London. The area sits south of Holland Park Avenue and is served by Holland Park station on the Central line. Residential streets contain a mix of Victorian and later housing, small galleries and specialist shops along Holland Park Road and the adjoining streets. The park anchors the district and gives its name to the surrounding area.
Within the park, the Kyoto Garden features a pond with koi, a stone lantern and a red lacquered bridge, donated after civic links with Tokyo. Nearby are the shell of Holland House, a surviving wing damaged in the Second World War, and the Orangery where seasonal events and an open-air opera season are staged. Paths, sports facilities and woodland pockets connect to quiet terraces and mews, while local cafes and small businesses cluster near the park entrances.
