About

Llandough is a residential village situated just inland from the Cardiff Bay shoreline. The area is dominated by the extensive University Hospital Llandough complex, a major regional employer. Housing consists largely of interwar and postwar suburban homes, with some modern developments on its fringes.

Adjacent Cogan lies directly on the bay, historically centred on its railway station which connects to Cardiff. The old Cogan Pill river inlet is now a quiet marina, surrounded by modern flats. A notable feature is the Grade I listed Cogan Hall, a rare medieval hall house standing near the ancient parish church.
