Llandudno Junction South & Llasanffraid Glan Conwy

Llandudno Junction South is a primarily residential area situated directly east of the River Conwy. It functions as a major transport hub, containing the principal railway station serving the wider Conwy County Borough, with direct lines to Chester, Manchester, and Holyhead. The area is characterised by a mix of housing estates and local commercial services catering to daily needs, set against a backdrop of views towards the nearby Carneddau mountains.

Immediately to the south lies the community of Llanfairfechan, with the larger village of Glan Conwy positioned across the river to the west. The geography here is defined by the Conwy estuary, with expanses of saltmarsh and mudflats that are significant for birdlife. The main A55 North Wales Expressway runs through this corridor, linking the locations while physically separating some residential areas from the tidal waters and their wildlife.
