Llangunnor

Llangunnor ward sits on the northern bank of the River Tywi, directly across from Carmarthen town. The area is primarily residential, with housing developments and older properties spread across its hillside setting. It includes the village of Llangunnor itself, which gives the ward its name, and features local amenities like a primary school and community facilities. The landscape is characterised by green fields and wooded slopes leading down to the river.

A notable landmark is the historic Church of St Ceinwr, which sits in a prominent elevated position overlooking the valley. The ward's proximity to the A40 provides direct road links, while its paths and quiet lanes offer views of Carmarthen Castle on the opposite bank.
