Llantarnam & Oakfield

Llantarnam and Oakfield are residential neighbourhoods in Torfaen with a mix of post-war housing, terraces and a few older stone buildings. Streets lead to local shops, a primary school, community halls and sports pitches that serve neighbourhood teams and groups. Afon Lwyd runs close enough to shape a corridor of trees and footpaths used for walking and cycling, and a compact industrial estate supplies local jobs and small businesses. Oakfield includes pockets of council-built homes and later private developments, with allotments and pocket parks scattered through the streets.
