About

Neyland sits on the northern shore of the Milford Haven Waterway, a deep natural harbour. The town is largely residential, with housing spreading across the hillside overlooking the water. Its economy has long been connected to the marine industries and engineering associated with the busy waterway. The area offers views across to the town of Milford Haven and the jetties of the energy sector on the opposite bank.

A notable feature is the long, curved Brunel Quay, a remnant of the town's origins as the terminus for Isambard Kingdom Brunel's railway across South Wales. This historical pier now forms a quiet promenade and marina. The area is a practical gateway to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which passes through, connecting walkers to the wider national park landscape. Local amenities are focused along the main routes serving the community.
