The Millennium Coastal Path runs along the inlet, largely on reclaimed railway alignment, providing a continuous route for walkers and cyclists between stretches of shoreline and the town. Local businesses include boatyards, fishmongers and shops clustered near the harbour and quay. Tidal flats of the Burry Inlet are visible from the shoreline and support seasonal birdlife, while village streets link residential areas with schools and community facilities.
