Queensferry and Sealand

The Queensferry and Sealand ward is situated in the far north-east of Flintshire, bordering the River Dee and the English county of Cheshire. The area is primarily characterised by residential communities and significant industrial estates, including the large Deeside Industrial Park. The landscape is largely low-lying, with the A548 road serving as a major transport artery connecting the ward to the wider region.

A notable local landmark is the Queensferry Crossing, a modern cable-stayed bridge carrying the A494 road high over the Dee. The ward also contains areas of reclaimed marshland, reflecting its estuarine position. Community facilities are centred around the separate villages of Queensferry and Sealand, which maintain their own distinct identities within this primarily functional and economically active part of the county.
