Rusthall & Speldhurst

The Rusthall & Speldhurst ward encompasses the western outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, blending suburban residential areas with open countryside. It includes the distinct village of Rusthall, with its local high street and common land, and the more rural parish of Speldhurst further to the west. The area is characterised by a mix of housing, from Victorian and Edwardian properties to more modern developments, set within a landscape of wooded ridges and greensand hills.

A notable local landmark is the Toad Rock, a large sandstone outcrop on Rusthall Common. The area contains several historic churches and the expansive grounds of Speldhurst's village cricket green. Land use is primarily residential, with significant tracts of agricultural land and woodland, including parts of the High Weald, defining the ward's perimeter and more rural character.
