The area is defined by its industrial heritage and dramatic coastline, with the large port of Amlwch historically central to the region's copper mining trade. Inland, the terrain consists of open farmland and smaller settlements, creating a mix of maritime and agricultural environments.

The coastline features rugged cliffs and the notable Amlwch Port, which was once one of the world's largest copper ore exporting harbours. Remnants of this past, including the distinctive copper kingdom centre, are integrated into the local landscape.
