Teifi

The Teifi ward covers a stretch of the lower Teifi Valley in northern Ceredigion, extending from the town of Cardigan at the estuary upriver. The landscape is dominated by the river itself, with floodplain meadows and wooded slopes defining much of the area. Agriculture, particularly dairy farming, is a central part of the local economy and shapes the patchwork of fields.

The ward includes several villages like Llandyfriog and Llanfair Clydogau, which are connected by narrow lanes following the contours of the valley. A notable feature is Cenarth Falls, where the river cascades over a series of rocky ledges, historically a key site for coracle fishing and salmon leaps. The area maintains strong cultural links to the Welsh language and its traditions.
