About

Tywyn is a coastal town on Cardigan Bay, with a long beach and a historic promenade. The town centre contains shops and the narrow-gauge Talyllyn Railway terminus, leading inland. Its most significant feature is the St Cadfan's Stone, a 7th-century inscribed pillar inside the parish church.

Immediately north, the community of Llangelynnin occupies a steep, rural landscape at the foothills of the Cadair Idris range.
