About

Usk sits on the River Usk as a compact market town with a long history. A Norman motte and the line of the old castle earthworks lie close to the river, and a stone bridge links the town to the meadows on the opposite bank. Narrow streets contain independent shops, a market tradition and a handful of listed buildings that reflect Georgian rebuilding alongside older timber frames.
