Caerhun

Caerhun ward encompasses a largely rural expanse stretching from the banks of the Conwy River inland towards the foothills of the Carneddau mountains. The area is defined by its agricultural land, scattered farms, and small settlements like Rowen and Tal-y-bont. The geography transitions from the river's floodplain to wooded valleys and open upland pastures, with the Roman road Sarn Helen passing through the landscape.

A significant historical focus is the ancient parish church of St. Mary's, which stands isolated near the Conwy, built within the remains of the Roman fort of Canovium. This quiet area is crossed by walking routes such as the Conwy Valley Way. The ward's character is shaped by its historical layers and its position between the river and the mountainous terrain of the Snowdonia National Park.
