About

Tudno ward lies along the north-facing coastline of Conwy county borough. Its primary built-up area is the resort town of Llandudno, which is situated on a flat peninsula between the Irish Sea and the limestone headland of the Great Orme. The area includes the lower slopes and summit of the Great Orme itself, a significant geological formation that defines the local landscape. The urban grid of Llandudno features a long Victorian pier and a wide crescent-shaped promenade.

The ward's western boundary is marked by the mouth of the River Conwy, with views across to Conwy town and its castle. Much of the local economy is connected to tourism and hospitality, centred on the seafront. The Great Orme is home to a herd of wild Kashmiri goats, introduced in the 19th century. The headland's ancient copper mines, with origins dating back over 4,000 years, are a notable historical site.
