About

Kingston Hill sits on higher ground to the south of Kingston town centre and is centred on the road of the same name. The area is mainly residential, with a mix of large detached houses and interwar semi-detached streets set among mature trees. Kingston University’s Kingston Hill campus occupies a swathe of land on the slope, with playing fields and tree-lined grounds that are a regular sight from the road. The rise of the hill gives longer views back toward the river valley at points along the route.

Local life is shaped by the campus and by good public transport links, with bus routes running along the A308 and Norbiton and Kingston stations within a short walk. Small shopping parades, primary schools and community facilities sit along the main roads, while quieter residential lanes step away from traffic. Paths and green corridors connect the neighbourhood to adjacent open spaces and to the Coombe area, so residents can move from the street to larger green areas without crossing the town centre.
