Grove Green

Grove Green ward occupies the southwestern portion of Waltham Forest, bordering the London Borough of Newham. The area is primarily residential, characterised by a mix of Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing alongside later interwar and post-war developments. Its main thoroughfares are Leytonstone High Road and the quieter Grove Green Road, which provide local shopping and amenities. The ward includes the southern section of Leyton Marshes, open green space bordering the River Lea.

The area is served by Leytonstone station, providing access to the Central line. A notable local landmark is the former County Court building on Church Lane, a distinctive red-brick Victorian structure. The ward contains several schools and the grounds of Leyton Orient Football Club sit just beyond its northern boundary. Residential streets are generally quiet, with the A12 road forming a significant transport route along its eastern edge.
